🌿Good morning from East Sussex. One of my long term projects which started over ten years ago and included landscape design, planting design, planting and long term management and maintenance. 🌿

After a long break from gardens, I’m back in a new guise! We are now Pearson Dawson Gardens, operating in Sussex and our new website is now LIVE! Thanks to @bathgardendesign for new images of our Bath gardens showing a lot of work from last year. Our new business is a little more streamlined offering design, planning and consultation. So spread the word! 🌿

More past-life planting from me in Somerset. A large property with many areas that were redesigned and planted including this courtyard area. 🌳

Midsummer walled garden gloriousness from last year. Part of an enormous walled garden project. 🌳

An oldie but a goodie. I planted Rosa New Dawn around the windows of this converted orangery (nearly 9 years ago) and we trained them to create a wonderful wall of roses. This entirely changed the feeling of the area that was previously unused. 🌳

Now the snow has left us and all is a bit bleak and grey, here is a lovely gate and arch at a garden where we introduced a lot of new planting and developed new areas. I can’t get enough of interesting gates…

Sadly the snow will be gone by the weekend, but here it is from Ditchling Beacon with incredible views over to Firle Beacon. Have a good weekend!

Here’s another I did earlier. A bit of summer colour to look forward to. Alliums and Geums. 🌳

Clematis cirrrhosa balearica, one of my favourite winter climbers, masses of flowers and super gorgeous. Evergreen as a bonus point. Will scramble up anything and increases in size each year. Highly recommended. 🌳

Front gardens do not need to be bland or utilitarian. This one designed and planted by me made the most of the space by providing nooks for seating. It attracted a lot of admiration from passers-by and neighbours and including multi-stem Amelanchiers and a riot of height and texture in summer. 🌳

The gardens at @charlestontrust. Full to the brim in summer with exuberant height and interest, with a fascinating back history revolving around the Bloomsbury group. This garden would have been enjoyed by Virginia Woolf and many more. Open all year round and not far from Lewes. 🌳

Nature’s Christmas decs! It’s always cheering to see Haws or Crab Apples at this time of year. Or as a good friend of mine calls them, Crap-apples! 🍎

Need advice on specialist pruning? Now is the time of year to get ready for roses, fruit trees, climbers such as Wisteria, Figs and much more. Consultation and visits available. Message for info. 🍎

Happy Sunday everyone. Here’s another one I did earlier. It was a very large Georgian garden with many elements to it. I reinstated some features that had disappeared over the decades including estate railings, planting and many groups of trees and more. 🌳

Design build and plant project for a small canal side garden involving major logistics removing the old garden over a wall and along the canal path, up a hill to the road. Painted corner pergola, sandstone paving, lots of climbers and exuberant pretty planting for this client. 🌳

My own little courtyard garden (with more garden further on which needs attention). Life has been full-on for many years building my business and training and studying. I’m taking some time out for a change of scene and enjoying exploring the beautiful South Downs. I’m also volunteering for the Charleston Trust for a while as my love for the art and gardens there have been long-standing.

Welcome to my new Instagram account and my new life in East Sussex having moved here from Bath. I was born in Brighton so essentially I have come home after a long time living in London and Bath.
